Firmware Signing
All software shipped to our APUs is 'signed' with Aura Vision's secret key. That means nobody can run code on our devices but us.
Over-the-Air Updates
APUs automatically apply firmware updates during off hours. All devices run the latest Ubuntu Core, and we use Canonical Snapcraft to securely deploy our own software updates.
Encrypted Filesystem
The root filesystem on every APU is encrypted, with a dedicated confined memory space for temporary video and analytics data. Only Aura Vision-signed software can execute and access the filesystem.

Network security is critical for any cloud-connected infrastructure. At Aura Vision, we ensure your data is protected at every stage of transfer.
End-to-End Encryption
All data between our cloud platform and APUs is encrypted with AES-128 and transferred over HTTPS / TLS v1.3. Data at rest is encrypted with AES-256.
Amazon Web Services

No Inbound Connections
Our APUs don't accept inbound connection requests, following industry best practice. Bad actors cannot alter device software remotely.
No Complicated Firewalls
All data enters and exits through secure port 443 (HTTPS). We typically require no additional firewall rules.

Our information security management system follows the ISO 27001 specification, covering risk assessment, access control, incident management and continuous improvement.
Account Security
Our security measures extend to each user who logs into our software — giving you full control over access and permissions.
